Can I Mix You A Drink: A New NFT Collection On Crypto.com Inspired By T-Pain

Based on the well-known American rapper T-Pain and his own cocktail recipe book, "Can I Mix You A Drink?" or CIMYAD, Crypto.com has put together an entire NFT collection. Animations of numerous T-Pain drinks, along with the recipes for each, will be included in the CIMYAD collection. But what do drinks and T-Pain have in common?

Well… Moreover, T-Pain says it best:

You know, alcohol is a big theme in a lot of my songs.

Here are just a few of T-song Pain's titles that all include alcohol or cocktail-related themes: "Buy U a Drank," "Bartender," "Blame It (On the Alcohol)," "Tipsy," "Bottlez," and "Drinkin' Patna."

T-Pain eventually made the decision to write his own cocktail book, putting his own unique twist on each cocktail, as a result of his passion of cocktails. He chose to give the recipe book the same title as his previous No. 1 hit song, "Can I Mix You a Drink?"

So where did this passion for drinks come from? Well, to start, his nearly 20-year-old wife is a trained mixologist, so that must have provided some inspiration. In addition, T-parents Pain's were actual restaurateurs who had a place called "Fish-N-D Pocket," demonstrating the family's strong connection to the culinary world.

However, T-Pain was unable to publish the recipe by himself. He made the decision to work with renowned mixologist Maxwell Britten in order to "tone down" some of his concoctions.

When asked how he came up with all the different recipes, T-Pain responded as follows in a recent interview:

"I named a few of the drinks I like, and that was how we started the process. I usually research the local popular or speciality drink whenever I travel for work or for anything else, and as a result, I have a huge list!

We talked about ways to give the cocktails my "T-Pain spin" after we drank the drinks. I never use the conventional recipe when I mix drinks at home; I always wing it. So, yes, that is what we did in the book.

I linked them to one of my songs that they reminded me of when we finalized the cocktails.

Then Maxwell stepped in to take care of the mixology because if not, I would have made everyone drink the first cocktail. I have a substantial pour.

T-Pain also asked noted novelist Kathy Landoli for assistance in formalizing his life and career and publishing a couple of his own experiences. T-Pain said he wanted to write his recipe book CIMYAD for a while, but he was constrained in how he could do it "his" way. He could only truly get things rolling with Kathy's assistance:

"When I just achieved complete independence, I got back in touch with Kathy Iandoli, with whom I had been working on it initially, and together, we were able to implement ['Can I Mix You a,zxD Drink?'] exactly as I had envisioned."
