The football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has agreed to a multi-year non-fungible token (NFT) contract with cryptocurrency exchange Binance. The collaboration aims to familiarise soccer fans to the Web3 environment through worldwide NFT efforts.
In a statement given to Cointelegraph, Binance said that the relationship involves Ronaldo's construction of a number of NFT collections. Later this year, the initial collection will only be offered on the Binance NFT platform.
The CEO and founder of Binance, Changpeng Zhao, praised Ronaldo on his soccer accomplishments and noted that he had "transscended sport to become an icon in various sectors." Zhao further added:
Through his genuineness, skill, and charitable endeavours, he has acquired one of the most devoted fan following in the whole globe.
Zhao continued by saying that because admirers of Ronaldo possess items from the NFT collections, the Binance team is happy to provide them "unique engagement chances to interact with Ronaldo." The soccer legend also predicted that fans will adore the upcoming NFT releases when he remarked on them. Also from Ronaldo:
"My relationship with the fans is really important to me, therefore I wanted to be a part of the notion of giving unique experiences and access through this NFT platform."
Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao voiced confidence earlier in June, despite the current crypto cold. Zhao asserted with assurance that the team is experienced in navigating bear markets because this is Binance's second encounter with this kind of market situation and his third overall. In addition, the CEO of Binance said that they will use the opportunity to hire the best candidates that were available at the moment.
