HitPiece, an NFT marketplace with a focus on selling CDs and music artwork, debuted earlier this year. The platform became mired in controversy very quickly after its introduction as a number of artists demanded that their work be removed because they had not given their consent for it to be coined as NFTs.
The scandal was so severe that the market was completely closed for several months. Now that the previous situation has been resolved, HitPiece has returned and relaunched with the assistance of various artists.
HitPiece's relaunch has resulted in the acquisition of officially licensed NFT pieces from musicians including Lil Gotit, Matt Ox, and ATL Jacob. The HitPiece is negotiating with several record labels to acquire the rights to even more unique works, according to its creator and CEO Rory Felton.
In addition to this, the business is attempting to put the recent issue when it was dubbed a scam operation behind it.
"Whenever we make any part of our service publicly accessible, we need to be on our game. "Buttoned up" means that any content that is made accessible through our platform has the required rights, according to Felton.
This might very well be a success for the company if it can really sign up more musicians.
